  • Georgia & Google Maps

    goto Google maps
    (maps.google.com)

    Search for :

    'Georgia country'

All roads in georgia, internal borders and (south Ossetia, etc) are now deleted. All natural features (mountains etc) - the same.

They were there 2 weeks ago.

    Look South.

Azerbijan is now similarly wiped off the map.

    Coincidence?

Dont believe it. I would put it down to Govt pressure to try to keep people from learning the geography of a potential warzone. It does not matter one way or the other to any military - they dont use google maps!

I would now be taking bets that when either the US or Israel strike Iran Nuclear facilities, it will come from Georgia.

While on google maps, do a search for
    iran nuclear sites

Look at where the pointers come up. Almost all are within range of bombers from T'blisi, Georgia - and for Israel, it has a LOT less hostile territory and countries to pass over. (syria and or Jordan, as well as Iraq)

Expect the action before the Elections in the US.

    Scary

Just switched to sattelite view over the T'blisi main airport. Coordinates 41.679275, 44.945852

The picture is not particularly high resolution, BUT ITS FROM 2008!

Check out the coordinates - over 20 helicopters in one place - cool shot. Not relivant to the comments above, though.

The scary one is at 41.631200, 45.038152
This is the Military airport. You cant see any mil jets here, but you can see the bunkers. and some of them have shadows streaming from them. If you could get more recient photos, you muight be able to tell what sort of plane is in the bunker. it would make intresting viewing.

the 3rd airport in Teblisi is a small regional field at 41.657336, 44.922366. It intresting has 3 cammoflaged planes at the coordinates. Cant tell what type, but they look old russian. Note the long white tubes behind them.... That airport, btw is not designated military...
