I would still get screwed -
I still have a pneumatic lego technic digger standing there... (3 pneumatic pumps for the arm and shovel movement, 3 flip switches (3-position) for controlling them, and one pump for pumping the air in and out of the circuit...

Spent all xmas day 1988 on it. Gearbox didn't work properly, neither did the pop up lights. Last lego I ever played with. Here's a pic of someone else's
