Like the US, a consortium of European companies are developing an unmanned combat air vehicle - this bird being named nEUROn. The consortium consists of France/Dassault; Greece/Hellenic Aerospace Industries; Italy/Alenia Aeronautica; Spain/EADS; Sweden/Saab; and Switzerland/Ruag.
Much like our X-47B, nEUROn looks to initially fill the fighter/bomber role in a very stealthy manner, with large portions of its mission being autonomously flown. The first test aircrafts wings were recently delivered to Dassault by EADS. The airframe is being built by SAAB. The top pic is a mockup to show scale, the bottom is concept art.
Crew: 0
Length: 9.5 m (31 ft 2 in)
Wingspan: 12.5 m (41 ft 0 in)
Gross weight: 6,000 kg (13,000 lb)
Maximum speed: Mach 0.8
Armaments: dual bomb bays - guided munitions
