Jealous of what?? Being a pompus ass. Hell the beta group did very well before you ever came along and started thinking that the only program that was worth being tested is the one you were working with.

Alot of people cared about the issues involving NWN just look back through the archives in the gaming forum. Oh I'm sorry that's right you think anyone who plays games on their PC is beneath you and knows nothing about PCs. That they are just little kiddies and should go buy a console unit instead.

At least some of us actually brought up issues about programs that alot of people actually used.

I am just an ordinary user of this board. One of the things I like about it, is it being comparatively civil.

If Cross can actually make a coppercast version of that waterblock, it would obviously be a much, much easier way to manufacture more copies of it.

Personally, I would love to have even a handcrafted one. Alas, its completely out of my reach, both skill - and equipment wise...


And wow! At first I couldnt understand how that block got so shiny. Then i followed the link to the site of the guy that made it. He really invest a lot of time and effort into it!

Wish that I had a friend like that.

crossbonesx has a point in that it is pretty simple, at least the basis, but there are always those that do, and those that don't, but criticize those that do.

I would say that it could be cast but you'd need the equipment to cast it, something I don't have, and to be cast in copper is not as easy as it sounds. Copper has a very high melting point, and it would need to be pressure or vacuum cast to avoid air bubbles along with other procedures to avoid impurities, a complex process to get good results. You then have the job of making a casting mould which would probably mean making something like the block I've made by hand to begin with. Anything that comes out of a casting wont look shiny and finished like this either...




....and there is still the design that went to it make in line up and contact both gpu & ram that are on different levels, retainer etc.

I made that one off cooler for Skee at cost partly because I wanted to make a block for Parhelia, but wasn't interested in buying a Parhelia.

If crossbonesx doesn't like it then that's just fine by me, however it's sad he doesn't see the Art in my work, as I try to make things I create not only functional but also with an "image" factor where possible.

I think my favourite piece so far is the Splitter-X CPU block
