Donnow anything obout casting, cooling, copper etc, but I have to say, the satisfaction of being able do actually make on of those things with skiulls and tools at hand must be very very nice (and yes, of that I would be jealous).

Extremely nice work. I relly like the copper blocks, but right now I am more interested in the perspex type. (they are a bit litghter).

Still the all coppers do look a lot nicer. Great effort.

On the subject of water cooling. I was looking at replacing my g450 with a P750 when I replace the rest of my setup. I would like to water cool the whole thing so I will also water cool the P750. Is there a commercial block that fits or am I going to have to get some one to make one for me?

Thought I would ask in here since this is a water cooling thread.

The guy just took a mill bit and milled a few channels for water to flow into and out of a piece of copper is it really rocket science? Sheesh, ****k my car and product design skills...No one has to help me, if they want a part like that I can make one at the cost of the materials and shipping

Three people voicing an interest is nowhere near enough to justify production of the block, If you have all the tooling as crossbonesx says, then it will be much easier, but he still underestimates the full procedure, either that or over estimates his abilities.

It simple to say "that's crap" I can make a better one for everyone at "cost", (at cost is a loose statement, would he make 100 or 200 at cost?). Either way it's a much bigger jump to saying I have 100 or 200 of them finished ready, send me the cash!

I'd love to be able to say I'll make you all one, but if you follow the topic threads and my replies you'll see I'm working towards it. Whether there would be a Parhelia block depends on many factors when I get equipment to make the coolers, but I wouldn't say I can make everybody that wants one a cooler until I actually intend to do so, but more importantly have the equipment to do it right and had made a batch I was happy with.

If you read my replies I haven't personally "hammered" crossbonesx at all, (there is a difference between a flame and an opinion). He stated that the workmanship was horrible which is not a flame just his opinion, which he has every right to even though it wasn't a very diplomatic way to ask for something. His next post went on to further stroke his own ego.

IMO what he doesn't have a right to do is make assumptions based on his opinion without asking some basic questions to get the facts, and that is what I was putting him straight on. I think he has been "hammered" mostly because of chest beating his over inflated opinion of himself, (and by the general topic reaction maybe this is not an uncommon happening)

If he had said "I have access to some casting & full CNC equipment and could probably make that cooler better, could anyone give me some specs" then that would have been more acceptable, along with "have you considered production of these coolers and are you working on any projects for retail as I have some experience in this" rather than assuming things and making it all sound as simple as falling off a log. My point is it's easy to come across as an ass if you really want too.

Here are the plans I drew and copied to the copper piece, (this is looking from the bottom where the channel is milled as the soldered plate becomes the base), I will be writing a walkthrough of how I made it for my site in due course.

Is there even a commercial block that fits the parhelia, let alone the p750? - Just looking for a place to start. I can get someone to make blocks for me and the workmanship is pretty good. - Not up to your standard but good none the less.

Having my own CNC milling machines, and knowing what they are capable of, I am very impressed with
your design/handiwork.
Keep up the great work - a definite piece of artwork.
It's easy to spit parts off a machine, but to make each part a thing of beauty requires the dedication, imagination and creativity that only personal attention can give.

Nice craftmanship and a nice overall design. And I like how you can still use the PCI slot beside it, genius. (ok, maybe not Einstein genius but still, it's a damn good design)

And actually (though I may be talking utter BS here ), the uneven surface on the inside of the channels due to it being hand-milled may actually work in your favour, producing more turbulent flow at the copper/water interface and increasing heat transfer. But then it's a long time since I my thermodynamics/heat transfer engineering papers...
