I've been in contact with the author. This is the last email I sent him:

I don't have much other info about the extra version. Perhaps it's a

Some redirects still only have ONS-SpiffingradBETA

So it's probably a problem in the community & affects a lot of mappers,
admins & players. Some servers running betas, some running final versions,
some running maps with typos in the name (and couldn't figure out what was
going on in the server.log and uploaded that to their redirect) & a whole
bunch of confused players who only look at the beginning of the map name and
think that they're all the same. They then vote for it & have to wait for a
new download. Most leave & never go back to that server again & never try to
figure out why that happened
Looks like a nice project for someone, who really wants to help the
community & has LOTS of time.

The compressed download of this map is 11MB.
The investigation is ongoing, because I too like playing this map.

I swear someone in a tank was using an aimbot tonight. No way the guy can pinpoint me INSTANTLY when im on a hill far away and behind cover. He did it repeatedly too.

Coulda been one of the server's bots.
Any less than 10 human players, and bots fill the spots.
Them suckers are brutal. Forget getting into a base with 2 or more bots arming turrets.

GEMorris was not a bot. I've looked at the Server Log and didn't see anything suspicious. Perhaps he had the sight zoomed in on that location.

UTSecure is working with full MD5's now. It will log transgressions and kick the user. I'll go thru the logs later. When I know all is working ok, I'll change the "what to do" option to something more serious.

I need to get back to fragging but my system is actually below spec. This will not be a problem in a month or two. What are the specs of the machines everyone uses when they play on the server?

If we could find another clan we could invite over to whoop up on, that'd be a great idea. But I'm afraid we don't have enough active players that could meet at the same time/day to have a good 5on5 or larger game without those stinkin superbots ruining the game.

If there is enough of us to make up a team, I could check a couple other forums I browse to see if they are up for a match (be it this weekend, or some weekend in the future that we can get maximum players from each side...)
