I would have loved to see the Avs in the playoffs instead of Calgary - the flames were not the better team going into the playoffs.

Brodeur hasn't quite been himself this series, nor the series against Tampa. That said, Ottawa won't face its true test until next series - both Buffalo and New York are looking pretty good

It wasn't going to matter anyway. Vancouver was never going to take three straight games from the Ducks.

I guess its time to switch sports and start watching to see how far the Suns and hometown boy Nash can go.

Ottawa Senators goaltender Ray Emery got into a minor traffic accident Friday on his way to the airport to catch a plane to New Jersey.

''Ray Emery was late in catching the team's charter flight to Newark this afternoon, and in doing so was involved in a minor vehicle accident,'' the Senators said in a statement. ''Ray caught a later commercial flight and will join the team this evening.''

Emery's white hummer was one of three vehicles in the crash, although it did not appear that anybody was hurt.

It is not known if provincial police will issue any charges.

As much as I can appreciate the athletic skills of Nash, I just can't get into basketball.

What the heck happened to the Sharks?

I've gotta admit I'm really surprised the Wings beat out the Sharks. How far can those old guys go?

Season play was 50/50 with each winning 2 at home, so Wings in 7 over Anaheim based on Detroits home rink advantage. Might go in 5 as they've been on a tear.
