    Don't know the name but it is in Parc Guelle or something like that, right? Wasn't guessing barcelone sufficient to win em the prize though?

      OK, I declare myself the winner of the last one

      Here is a new one. Three hints:
      - Answer need not be specific
      - When my kids have grown up and found their way, I think I'd really like to move here.
      - It is not one of mad Louis' Schlossen within 100 km of Munich

        Having a distinct aversion to Gaudi's architecture (have you seen that oppressive church - forgotten its name - that's supposed to look like a forest, where there isn't a straight line? It made me dizzy ) As for the Holy Family, it's impressive but not pleasing to my eye.

        Anyway, I guess Umf is near enough to take over.

          Exactly right. If it has that style, it's easy to guess Gaudi and therefore Barcelona (or Catalunya at least) so I thought I'd make you work that little bit harder

          @Brian - I couldn't live with it either

          @Crabby...somewhere in Norway?
          FT.

            Yeah, I thought most Gaudi's work is overvalued as well. Parc Guell was nice when I was there with the wife. She went around admiring all of it. I laid on the grass on a sunny day reading a book.

            On the Sagrada Familia I disagree, that is actually amazing (albeit not yet finished). Have to admit though, I did not actually go into it as the lines were to long.

            After Oslo somewhere in Norway? Nope. Although I can imagine myself retiring in Norway as well perhaps. Try harder.

            My name, BTW, is Umfriend. I am NOT CRABBY.

                KVH got the level of accuracy I was looking for, but alas, it is wrong.

                            I find it difficult to analyse. The first pic suggests quite a N. latitude, but it must have been latish in the year for the snow to have mostly melted and the grass to be burnt dry, while the conifers are a rich green. The mountain, though, looks as if it's much higher than the tree line.

                            The second pic adds to the confusion. This looks distinctly USA and the distant mountains could be the Sierra Nevada or similar. This make me quite confused, as the township could be one of hundreds. I'll plump for California, somewhere, but away from the coast, somewhere like Ridgecrest. (±1000 km )

                            Edit: Secod thoughts, N. Utah
