That looks like the Appalachians. Could be between PA and NC, as a guess for starters, say W. Virginia (New River?)

Am a great fan of the Appalachians for their natural beauty. I'm far too old and lazy to do the trail, although I've walked (not hiked) in various parts of a number of the States from VT/NH in the N down to the VA/NC border in the south. Lovely countryside and easy of access by car in many places, e.g., the Skyline Drive in VA must be one of the top ten places I've driven along in the World. Not difficult to recognise the area, but the pinpointing of the river was a bit of a guess, helped by the road along both banks. Sorry, no name for the bridge!
