That's weird, I've never seen a large drive being detected as 138 GB if the controller didn't support 48bit LBA. It always would detect the full size but crap out as soon as one tried to write beyond the 138GB point.Originally posted by KvHagedorn
No, this is a different problem. If 48bit LBA was not supported nor enabled, the drive would only have been detected as a 138gb drive. It was detected as a 200gb and worked fine until 130+ gb of data was written to it.
Then again, maybe I also came across the 'magic NTFS problem' you talk about.
