      That's weird, I've never seen a large drive being detected as 138 GB if the controller didn't support 48bit LBA. It always would detect the full size but crap out as soon as one tried to write beyond the 138GB point.

      Then again, maybe I also came across the 'magic NTFS problem' you talk about.
