Ok, I'm pretty sure that I'm going to name one of my kids "Wolf". Another cool name is "Steel". I had a friend in residence at UofT whose name was Steel. I found out after a few years that his frist name was actually Thomas and Steel was his middle name. Anyway, it was a cool name.

OK fair enough on the common/traditional names. You could follow my younger brother's example: for his confirmation name he chose "Vladimir." Yes, there apparently was a St. Vladimir although I don't think the monks at his school were hugely happy... (I'm getting the feeling you don't feel the need to go for a traditionally Jewish name?)

i always thought Chael was a cool name as well. i used to have a friend whos parents named him Micheal and since i think his dads name was the same they just called him Chael for short.

Julie and I have reached a split verdict. I feel that Lizzie gets a prize for sheer bulk of posts, Julie feels that no prize should be given for being the one online (and either bored or just in a creative mood) when the post went up. LOL. Lizzie gets an autographed snapshot of ... um ... something.

What about Lance? I always thought that was a cool name.

Or a name tandem that forms O.J. Regardless of the running back of that moniker, "Juice" is a sweet nickname. What about Oliver Jones?

                  Oh I forgot another one.

I wanted Rhys-Michael. I just like the name. But Julie isn't keen on the hyphenated first name. Too cumbersome... and too tempting for people to just shorten it to "Mike". But we're contemplating "Rhys". Good solid name, works with Goldovitz, and even if people misspell it (Reese) they're unlikely to mispronounce it.

I like "Harry Goldovitz", but I guess it's to common and, to me at least, sounds like a TV detective on cigarettes and booze.

                            Boris? Nathaniel?
