A guy I know set up Xandros on his computer. He was dualbooting with WinXP. It took a while, but I figured it out... he wasn't getting sound in Xandros, but he was in windows.... it was because of the PCI slot that his Audigy 2 was in. He'd put it in one slot, and it would work in Xandros, but not in Windows even... finally he found the right one. That may be your problem... I know it's odd, but it worked.

Nope nothing to do with the slots.

Just Linux can be finniky at times. If I tried again it'd would probably do everything correctly.

Prefer Suse so I went back to that.
