I was using a Matrox Mystique 220 with a Rainbow Runner Studio under Windows 98. However, I'm moving to NT for a variety of reasons, and I need a capture card that's compatible.
I can get a Matrox Millenium G200 8MB AGP for ~$50, and I've seen the Rainbow Runner G-series for ~$149. $200 sounds about right for an MJPEG editing solution that works with Premiere, as I understand the G-series RR does (at least, better than the Marvel?).
I use Ulead's software for capture and final playback (cutlist.dll support and timeline playback); I just prefer to edit in Premiere.
How successful have people been with the Rainbow Runner G-series under NT? Also, anyone know where I might find one that's in stock?
My system (I can use one or the other):
1: PIII/450 on Intel SE-440BX2
128MB PC100 SDRAM
Monster Fusion Voodoo Banshee AGP
Integrated Yamaha XS-DG PCI sound
2: Celeron 300a on Diamond C400 (i440BX)
128MB PC66SDRAM
Matrox Mystique 220 w/ Rainbow Runner
SB Live! Value
Thanks!
