    Hey,

To get 'Image Effects' in Directshow filters in graphedit, you need a file ...i think it's called 'ezrgb24.ax' this is the direct show filter.

I believe it comes with Direct-X Media SDK v5.2 which is a 120meg download!

I wouldn't mind downloading it, thats if i could find the flippin thing

If anyone has it, please post a link to it, or better still just the .AX file needed!

    Good Luck

I found it at the same place that dgcom said
      http://members.xoom.com/mpeg2avi

"ezrgb32" - Directshow filter (modified SDK sample) that allows <XingDVD 2.03 Video-decoder> to be connected directly to an AVI-compressor. Now with "vertical flip" option. Requires the use of GRAPHEDT.EXE

I don't know if it's the same thing because like I said above. I can't get it to work, it just says about the frame rate for some reason.

Tinnes, you are right. ezrgb24.ax is on that page as well... I saw graphedit with all sample filters somewhere... but I don't remember where it was.

If I'll find it, I'll post url here. But what you have now should be enough.

Frame rate: I have no idea why you got this... But - if you leave only Capture and Video renderer, will it work?
And try this as well: insert all filters, DO NOT make any connections, make sure, Graph->Connect Intelligent is checked, right-click on capture node of your capture filter and select render. It should connect filters, maiking all nessesary mods to the graph...

If somebody make it work, post it here...

          Hi Tinnes,

I am looking at the instructions at http://home.netteens.net/~whn/1301.html.

In my graphedt.exe I can't find the "Image Effects" filter under DirectShow Filters.

I am using the 980902 build of this software.

Could this perhaps relate to the version of DirectX?

          Regards, Derkio

            Hi all,

I got the thing working. I also experienced the frame rate issue. I managed to solve it by choosing the DirectShow/RainbowRunner Video input instead of the Matrox VidCap Driver.

However, the rend result I hoped for (the descrambling of Canal+ on my cable (in the Netherlands) failed. The screen remains black!

The scrambling used, I think, not only inverts colors, but also does something with the refresh rate/frequency of the screen.

Quietly I am losing hope I am able to descramble this signal. Can anyone give me hope again?

            Cheers, Derk

OK I got it working using the rainbow runner capture thing intead (thanks Derkio. And thanks dgcom for suggestions) but ALL I could get was nothing but FUZZ. Occationally I got different coloured fuzz and some funny signal noises, but that was about it. I have probably done something wrong or not ticked a box somewhere or something. I tried a few channels people said in the message place on the website guide above without much sucess. Does anyone know a REALLY strong channel that normally comes though really well that I could try? Hope you guys have had more luck than me.

Ok im trying to get this to work, and well failing on every attempt. And im making sure everything is set correctly (well the DirectShow versions are different). Last thing i can try is upgrading to Windows Millennium and see if that goes.

BTW: I think you need to register (regsvr32.exe from a dos prompt) EZRGB32.AX. Hehe still didnt work.
