Who knows what's the difference between type 1 DV and type 2 DV - AVI's? My editing app. (Magix Video de Luxe) renders to DV-AVI but I can't read these in Vdub, Vdub saying that it isn't VfW compatible. I can convert it in TMPGenc and read it in Win Media Player which use DirectShow filters to cope with it. But I can't open them in Win Media Encoder! It gives an error message stating that the file "does not contain an audio track". So now, if I want to convert a file to Windows Media, I convert the DV-AVI to high res MPEG2 in TMPGEnc and then convert the MPEG2-file to WM7 in Media Encoder. I use this procedure when I want to put some project on CD, but it is too long for VCD. Why can't Win Media Encoder read what Media Player can?
