Jerry,
No, but seriously, Jerry, I do get a kick out of you, man! You are definitely DA MAN, when it comes to MSP, and I, for one, hold you in high regard.
Yeah, I really didn't put much thought into the title for this thread, so it probably looked a bit misleading. My main interest in posting it, though, was that maybe someone might know how the heck anyone might get DV timeline playback out the IEEE-1394 port to be video only, and have the audio come out on the sound card output... because (I know I risk things here!) the Power Patch does exaclty that on my machine. That's the part that's got me scratching my head in bewilderment. If anyone might have any idea where I can get into "el-tweak-eroo" mode to actually cause this strange effect, then it could be troubleshot on my computer. I just don't know where to start. I did compare ULEAD32.INI before and after patching, and the only items that change with the Power Patch are:
this section is added:
[VIODRIVER]
mpegdll1=mpeg2.dll
DCPrecision=0
LigosDecoder=1
LigosPlay=1
LigosAudioDecoder=1
LigosAudioPlay=1
MotionEstimate=20
these lines in the Playback section are deleted:
[Playback]
MPEGCLSID11={CF957F20-77FE-4192-A59F-95CA43BD04BA}
MPEGCLSID12={CF957F40-77FE-4192-A59F-95CA43BD04BA}
MPEGCLSID13={CF957F20-77FE-4192-A59F-95CA43BD04BA}
MPEGCLSID14={CF957F30-77FE-4192-A59F-95CA43BD04BA}
MPEGCLSID21={CF957F20-77FE-4192-A59F-95CA43BD04BA}
MPEGCLSID22={CF957F40-77FE-4192-A59F-95CA43BD04BA}
MPEGCLSID23={CF957F20-77FE-4192-A59F-95CA43BD04BA}
MPEGCLSID24={CF957F30-77FE-4192-A59F-95CA43BD04BA}
Otherwise, the two ULEAD32.INI files are the same.
I uninstalled MSP6.5 yet again, then reinstalled, and got my *flawless* timeline playback again. Adding the Patch put me back into the problem.
Pretty weird, eh?
