I need some more convinceing on why low motion codec is better.
I know that I can obtain low motion codec can get better results, but then the entire file size is much larger.

If I use fast motion, and set the bit rate at 1500 or 2000, it will raise the bit rate for the fast parts and keep the bitrate low at low motion parts.

Thats why I dont see why I would ever want to use the low motion codec for dvd copying.
The only way the low motion codec can be usefull is if I set the bitrate low to keep the file size low, its fine but then the image breaks up in the fast action scenes

Fast Motion codec defaults to 500Kbps video as soon as the motion in the movie is low... And that looks bad. That's why everyone uses low-motion codec. If you encode low-motion properly, it looks great, and the filesize is low enough to put a movie on 1 cd for reasonable quality, and 2 for great quality

    - What do you get when you put N nVidia whores in a circle and each one pats the person on their right on the back and says "nVidia wins 3dfx and Michael Knight any day of the week!" ?

    - You get N people with a boosted ego, and no-one loses anything; keep up the good work, boys!

yes it does look great, in the low motion parts, but in the fast parts, the picture breaks up.
