Try to disable DivXG400 before playing Matrox video...
Also check that DVDMax is enabled and Clone mode disabled in PowerDesk settings...

I've installed PD5.82 and VT3.02 on my Marvel G400-TV and have the same playback problems for hardware MJPEG captures as ganyaik. My setup is running on a clean reinstall of WinXP Home with SP1 and the standard DX8.1. I do not have DIVXG400 installed.

What I have found, however, is that the playback problem only seems to affect PC-VCR. If I play back through WMP there is no jerkiness or striping . I've no idea why this should be.

Adis, you have done a fantastic job with the VT - sorting out this one minor problem would make your solution 100% for me.

usercd: and does it output the MJPEG to the TV?
Mine was striping in WMP too. Maybe I'll need to reinstall XP.

ganyaik: I have not yet tried output to TV. What I have noticed is that if I enable DVDMax, as adis suggests, the problems get worse - it's more like enabling CPUmax!

adis: any ideas why overlay might not be working? (I have >70% CPU load for hardware MJPEG playback on a Duron 1.2GHz!)

As I sad on my page:

If You have problems with outputing Matrox Video files to TV
try to disable DivXG400 filter if it's installed and be sure DVDMax is enabled.
If it still not working then install PICVideoMJPEG codec.

                Hi!
I've installed the 3.02 video tools on the 5.88.061 power desk but I still can't use the hardware mjpeg capture (0 frame captured).
I have a g400 dual head max with the Rainbow Runner g-series.
Which is the problem? With an older g200 all works fine.
                Thanks for the help!

You can capture all you want via hardware MJPEG coder but your image has totally color balance screwed up!! (adis and I noticed this problem)
Imagine being stuck in a classroom of 20 students, of which 19 are useless smartass punks. That is how it is to live in France.

Now it works. I installed VT2.10->no go(stripes and high CPU usage). VT2.02 finally played MJPEGs without stripes, but it was very unstable(jumpy). After that i tried 2.10 and it worked! Still quite unstable though. Then 2.04 turned to be OK with X-update. Only minor glitches at the beginning of the movie sometimes. Will try 3.02 again.
So it seems 2.02 healed the thing.
