I had a lowly M100 until I changed jobs. Its Outlook connectivity was good IMHO, with lots of precedence options. IMO, if you want to type a lot, you need a keyboard. Grafiti is ok one you get used to it, but it is no substitute. Palm have a folding keyboard that is well thought of.
I belive iPAQ har an USB interface, but I'm not shure, I know the Palm m505 has an USB interface (syncing to your PC)
And by the way, m505 can syncronice to MS Office! I have bought one myself now!
It's faster than the iPAQ, has much longer batery life, and has the same display! So if you don't need al the useles features of the iPAQ, go for an m505
