Looks pretty interesting...more broadband comp. the better, though I bet its shocking to troubleshoot!

Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?

They have been on it for years... But I have to admit, the first time I heard about it I thought it was a joke.
Let's try that on my grandpa's house (he was not educated in the matters but used to do all of his wiring himself )...

According to the latest official figures, 43% of all statistics are totally worthless...

Does this mean that I'll have to plug it into my APC to protect it? Wait. If I plug it into my APC, it will be going through the battery and will not receive the signal from outside the APC.

I wonder how easy the surges that an APC would hold back would fry this thing crispy and whatever it is connected to.

On of the biggest power companys in sweden : Vattenfall gave up on this!

They said that it would be available soon

Then it just ran out in the sand

There are inherent problems. The equipment cost is obscene, since you have to give EVERYONE a nice power conditioner and UPS.

Add to that the completely unreliable nature of 2-phase power... if you even HAVE 2-phase power where you are...

Brownouts, spikes, and whatnot don't help either.

I'm not saying it can't be done. I mean, Tesla made a prototype work 75 years ago. But that was using wireless transmissions...

Hahaha that's a good one, hope she didnt network the fridge and the oven.

Btw, the power company here in singapore will be doing a trial... maybe i can try to test it out as a trial user. But i guess it might be too costly for most of us in the short term.

the ironic part is that the next day, apparently, I attempted to include the toaster oven in our little experiment!
