Installed it on W2K machine.
Is it in fact new or just a redistribution package??? - DXdiag still reports version 8.1 (4.08.01.901).
The install process also gives the option "re-install DirectX" iso the expected "update" or "upgrade"
Cant see any change in the behaviour of the e450TV or the Miro DV Plus or the DV500 - all still running as before and as expectedLawrence

Dx8.1 for Win2K was build .0881.

I've tried the Windows Update (2000 at work, XP at home), both are portuguese - and still no new directx for me.<p><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" size="1">"Dadinho o C@r@$, meu nome agora Z Pequeno" - City Of God</font></p>

I also got the "immediate success" installation, and my version number hasn't changed (810->810).
