What does the PCI texture setting option found in many video card control panels do exactly?
I was under the impression it only works if you are using a PCI video card. If you are using an AGP card it has no effect on the system, correct?
I have recently seen people on a forum swearing that it is speeding up their systems if set to zero, but they are using AGP cards.
Actually, as I recall, when I last tried to change mine, it just reset to some default value all the time and would not let me do anything.
What is the deal here? (Just so I can set them all straight....)
