Don't bother with any of that. Just put the whole computer in the dishwasher. Unless you're using a full tower, you should be able to get it in on a slant. No unscrewing necessary, no fuss, dead easy.
Some of my friends even do it nightly.

I got to step 13, but I don't know if I've to put the reading-nerd device back in
Has anyone done this? I don't want to put it in, in case I break my IBM drive

I never use anything more abrasive than glass-paper myself, else the dust from the platters collects in the corners of the housing and it's a bitch to get out!Look, I know you think the world of me, that's understandable, you're only human, but it's not nice to call somebody "Vain"!

I just had it set to size=1, because I thought it took up too much space otherwise. It looked fine in my browser (Mozilla under Linux), and others have referred to it. Agent31's sig is even smaller (size=0?). I've changed it now anyhow.
Edit: It seems that while I was typing about how Agent31's sig is so small, he was changing it to normal size...Blah blah blah nick blah blah confusion, blah blah blah blah frog.
