I prefer using Scotchbrite pads myself

Pah! I use sand in a pressure washer. Does a really good job of defragging, plus it removes all those clusters that tend to get wedged between the files and take up valuable disk space.

Don't bother with any of that. Just put the whole computer in the dishwasher. Unless you're using a full tower, you should be able to get it in on a slant. No unscrewing necessary, no fuss, dead easy.

Some of my friends even do it nightly.

I got to step 13, but I don't know if I've to put the reading-nerd device back in

Has anyone done this? I don't want to put it in, in case I break my IBM drive

Clearly you didn't read step 14 properly - let me repeat it :
When all is in place again, just screw it.
So just have some fun with it

I never use anything more abrasive than glass-paper myself, else the dust from the platters collects in the corners of the housing and it's a bitch to get out!
Look, I know you think the world of me, that's understandable, you're only human, but it's not nice to call somebody "Vain"!

Ah, I didn't see *all* - they only mentioned putting the platters back in!

Also, does your sig have to pixel sized in CSS Agent?

I just had it set to size=1, because I thought it took up too much space otherwise. It looked fine in my browser (Mozilla under Linux), and others have referred to it. Agent31's sig is even smaller (size=0?). I've changed it now anyhow.

Edit: It seems that while I was typing about how Agent31's sig is so small, he was changing it to normal size...
