Guru, you're talking about regular GF4 cards. I'm talking about the GF4 MX cards, which are really just GF2s.

So was I tried a Gainward GF4 MX460 Golden Sample at home for a few days a couple of weeks ago! At the moment I'm runing a Gainward 4200 Ti Golden Sample in my "gaming" computer!
According to the latest official figures, 43% of all statistics are totally worthless...
I might still try the gigabyte 9000 card, since I have been quite happy with the image quality from my old creative geforce DDR. I only use 1024x768 on my monitor under w2k, and 1184x864 under linux. (in other words, I don't think I need a particularly high quality graphics card to drive my monitor)
But I will make sure I am able to return the card if it doesn't work out
