oops actually i meant Best non-console Games

spin-off of the Favourite Software thread.

this is really hard to say as there are just so many games that i liked to play. i'll try to pick only a few. lets say max. 10 games everyone.

Maniac Mansion (C64)
Bubble Bobble (C64)
Monkey Island (AMIGA)
Flashback (AMIGA)
Populous II (AMIGA)
Syndicate (AMIGA)
Utopia (AMIGA)
Day of the Tentacle (PC)
Lemmings (PC)
Doom (PC)
Starcraft (PC)

yeah that's already 11 but i couldn't delete any of them, instead i wanted to add many more

I can get it down to 2

Civilisation and Elite both on the miggy.

The rest are all very good games, especially Syndicate but these two are a different league altogether.

Okay then ignore the honorary mentions, and I promise I won't add any games...

edit: Haha, flipped through an old PC Gamer magazine... Anyone remember this POS that even totally irrelevant advertising couldn't save? Could have been one of the best... Became one of the worst:

In September of 1996, almost 10 years in development, millions of dollars in development, years of hype and anticipation, BATTLECRUISER 3000AD was released worldwide and incomplete, amidst widespread controversy, by Take Two Interactive (US) and Gametek (UK) without authorization by 3000AD, Inc. Virtually unplayable out of the box, this action killed the title which then received a significant amount of bad press as the world waited with baited breath to find out what had gone wrong. It then became all too clear, though already obvious, that the game had been released in Beta form in order to meet a publisher's Christmas shipping deadline.

Elite and Elite Plus.

Frontier Elite 2 was good but not so "fun".

First Encounters was just too buggy.

Total Annhiliation

Civilisation

Populous

Wolfenstein 3D
