A bit OT, but along the lines of the 2 channel Divas at a similar price point, Advent brought back their AV-570s these, which I always liked for small, flexible, reasonably flat, neutral monitors. These speakers reaffirm that paper specs can't replace listening in a real world environment, but they're an old design.

I'm trying to decide in the next couple days, so any thoughts between the two would be appreciated.

Haven't heard the advents but make sure to read this review of the M200's: http://www.3dsoundsurge.com/reviews/SwanM200/

Otherwise, you could just get a reciever and some bookshelfs. Let me know if you're interested in any of this stuff I'm selling: http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htfo...hreadid=103353

I've got some Acoustic Research AR226PS bookshelves, an Acoustic Research ARS112PS subwoofer, and a Sherwood RD7103 reciever.

The videologic's would be the best amongst what you have listed. If you can splurge a bit, check out the Digitheater's or the Digitheater DTS...

Heh. I'm just bringing this back up to say I am getting the MegaWorks 550s instead of the 510Ds. Got it for 300 from mwave (including shipping) and these things are supposed to retail for around 500 bucks. Only bad thing is that they don't have any in stock right now. But my comp won't be ready until December anyway, so I can wait. Can't wait to get them though.

              Finally decided.

No one has a demo of either of the speakers! Cheap asses.
Checked out 3 Futureshops (only had demos of the 251's), 2 A & B Sound's, some of my usual computer shops (mom & pops size).

I liked the 251's and am going to take a chance on the 641's. Good news is a friend contacted me and wants to buy a new system with speakers and he wants the Monsoon MH-505's! Woo! I get to hear both the way I want to. No sales swooping down like vulture's around me while I listen!

I'll see if I can demo his speakers when he builds his system. Probably around the 17th of this month. I'll update you guys then.

The 510D's should remain better than the 550's per current info....

That's not what 3DSoundSurge said. Under their Audigy 2 preview they talked about the speakers and were actually surprised about how much better they sounded than the 510Ds.

...I've had the 510Ds for about 3 months now and they are head and shoulders over anything else I tested, but in the end it's a matter of taste.
How can you possibly take anything seriously?
                        Who cares?

I read that a long time ago. Most of it is pure speculation. Just because something costs less doesn't mean it will have less quality. I guess I'm taking a risk by getting these speakers so early though. But I can always send them back if I am not satisfied. I guess we'll just have to wait for the reviews to start showing up....
