Well, newegg has the monitor for 650. Should I just buy it now before they decide to raise the price over 100 dollars?? Talking about the Sony one. Mwave raised the price on the NEC one too. What gives??

hehe.. I seen places jack prices like that to make a few extra bucks off of those who just got paid and would be buying over the weekends... most of the time they drop the price back down on Mondays"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind." -- Dr. Seuss

I'd buy now and not risk a possible price hike"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind." -- Dr. Seuss

I've had good experiences with Newegg.
I personally would rather pay a few bucks more and get from a company with a good reputation than risk it-- especially with a high-priced item like a monitor.
Also, NEVER EVER let UPS ship your monitor. In the UPS's handbook, "Monitor" or "CRT" translates into "Break me" or "Throw me off the truck"

Prices aren't too likely to go down as we approach Christmas.
Yes, six-hundred-something sounds more reasonable.Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

Well.....heh, something new has come up. I have a chance to get the ultimate CRT via Ebay, but not sure at all if I should take this jump, so I'll pass it along with you guys. Here is the link. Monitor's retail is $2000 bucks. Emailed the dude selling it and finding out if it's still under warranty, etc. Should I try for it??System Specs:

...something bothers me about only W900, not GDM-FW900 being stated. I seem to remember there being two versions of the W900, one "business", one professional. There's the GDM-W900 and the GDM-FW900.
Check these out:
I was considering this one earlier too. I've seen it, it's a monster, but the case design is such that it takes up less space than a monitor of this size normally would. Somebody here at MURC said something about their W900 just recently, don't remember who.
In any case, it is a whopping jump from the others you were considering. I personally would go for it.Last edited by mutz; 2 November 2002, 00:51.How can you possibly take anything seriously?
