Back on topic. Personally, I've always felt that Intels do the job for me, and usually when I upgrade, it's not so much as money I'm concerned with, but any hardware configuration headaches I might get from getting a funky chipset. Intel chipsets are usually quite stable, and wth AMD's you have to chose between several different chipset manufacturer's, and who knows what kind of weird glitches they might have (like the 760mpx chipset and it's broken USB)..
