I did, but I was still getting them, so i put it back.
I have out the SCSI card, the Live! and the PCI-USB2 controller.
Since then, I have had no problems....
I assume that the USB controller is ok because it came with the mobo. I have heard reports that the SCSI controller (an Adaptec 2100s) could be tempremental. Perhaps that's why everything seems so stable now...
I am gonna stay put as i am for a bit, and then start to add hardware again.

I can't
I am averaging 5hours of work every evening. I cant afford any down time.
With the exception of some slowdown this morning, the computer has been stable for ~24hours.
I am begining to think that it is the PCI-USB2 controller or the SCSI controller.
I'll put the USB controller back in this afternoon and see what happens. The Welsh support two teams when it comes to rugby. Wales of course, and anyone else playing England

Hi Paddy
(Great AV btw, except when you catch a part of it in the corner of your eye and think something is crawling on your screen)!
This could still be a power thing. It could simply be a case of the more components you put in there, be they CPUs or expansion cards, the more stress you put on the PSU.
I know those readings of the -ve voltage rails are suspect (~-10.5 and ~-6.5 for the -12 & -5 rails iirc), but until you are sure about them I wouldn't rule it out.

Could still be bad memory and those devices may be addressing that area.
Just a thought to cheer you up.

Do you ever trust software.
Can't remember what I used to check mine out but it sure failed in a big way. Nice Cruical replaced without a quibble once I got past the grumpy receptionist.

I remember the thread.
If it were a memory fault, I would have expected it to rear it's ugly head before now.... and in a single processor environment.
As I have been playing with McAf-a-POS, I will leave it all alone untill tomorrow night.
To bad my board doesn't have onboard USBThe Welsh support two teams when it comes to rugby. Wales of course, and anyone else playing England
