  • Can you identify this Quantum HDD?

I've been asked by a friend involved in a legal case to identify the following drive (or drives):
It is allegedly called a Quantum Fireball Eclipse Extra, is 3.2Gig and dates to 1998.
One identifier we have is EX32A12-01-B-H, which I haven't found anywhere (or any subpart).
The other is QM303200EX-A-E which I have found a part of and it just seems to be a regular IDE drive.

    TIA

    Tony.
    FT.

Confused? I guess the question is: "what exactly is this drive and can it be easily substituted"?

From googling it looks like it could be a Quantum Fireball Eclipse Plus Ex.

Found one site that in the cache mentions that and is 3.2gig.
Nothing on the cached copy of the site tho

edit - oops it's in a dropdown. It's a form for specifying what you want in your PC, so I presume it is just an ordinary IDE drive.

Apparently a very large shipment of the drives was hijacked. I probably shouldn't say anymore than I already did.

                    Thanks again.

Does that mean if we go to some computer fairs around now we might be able to pick up a HDD or two on the cheap?

...and would you really want 5000 3.2Gig IDE drives?
