Look! It uses AFR, didn't ATI had a patent for the alternate frame rendering technology, used by Rage Fury Maxx ??

not sure how this relates to Indy's post...

they don't exactly make top notch vidcards...

Gigabyte still makes better cards than Power Color and they'll be the two initial manufacturers of XGI cards .

There will be Volari cards from Club3D too it seems : http://www.volarigamers.com

Looks like more and more manufacturers are jumping in the volari bandwagon, which is a good sign

OK, Gigabyte make fine boards. The manufacturing quality is very high. Only, the components they use on their vidcard gets the IQ down. Not as low as some el cheapo OEM's of course, but not as good as ATi's best, like Sapphire.

And I wouldn't exactly call Club3D a high quality card maker, too. With the Radeons, most Club3D cards are quite good, but only because they're just rebadged built-by-ATI (Sapphire) cards.

Someone said MSI would make XGI cards as well, maybe those are good.

I wouldn't take your word for it -unless they got the parts that didn't pass Sapphire QT... I'm definitely non-plussed by Club3D IQ. It's also possible that Sapphire makes the boards to C3D specs.

This was mostly true for the R9700Pros of Club3D and they definitely were BBAs - even had the BBA S/N sticker on them.

Nowadays it might be different - and as said:

So it's well possible, that Club3Ds own cards suck.
