Perhaps Kazaa Lite K++ is little irritating because it's little heavy (128mb ram), but it download things fastest, so...

btw, I really don't understand PDF bashing...perhaps ist's because you don't live in a country where even public institutions use *.doc and *.xls, 'cause everybody think it's a "standard"
Believe me, pdf is bliss. @cjolley, search is ok imho, reading is best of all (since it will for shure look like author wanted) and copying...it should be "problematic" if author wants it that way....if he doesn't, no problems to copy pdf here. And personally I like scrolling very much - I don't care to visit next page on every hit of Page Down, I care to see whole document while hitting PD (and btw, half of Page Downs take you to rest of the page, half to next page - exacly the way I want)

First I thought it was a 'feature' in Office 97, but it exists even in Office XP. It's extremely frustrating to not be able to easily scroll around when coding. My VB code was around 5-600 rows, so there was a lot of scrolling going on.

This is one of the many reasons why I hate the Visual Basic IDE. I had that bug for more over than a year until it suddenly disappeared. There's a workaround to make it scrollable (if you encounter the bug) just change one of your mouse properties and suddenly the mousewheel scrolling works .

Reasons why I hate Adaytum #2.

Yet more fun with Adaytum this evening.

Because it isn't very intelligent when performing weighted averages, I found a little "oddity" with one of my models this evening (in 12 cells of about a million possibles - so it really was a needle in a haystack and a wonder I found it at all).

Adding $1,000 (my smallest unit) to an income line in one of my sectors, I can change the present value of my overall plans by over ONE BILLION DOLLARS.

Grrrr.

A bit of "creative accounting" and about 6 hours was required to hide that billion after rather passionate discussion with some of my more senior colleagues...

All badly written software with useless error messages.

Driver software with pointless fancy screens that load tons of junk that you don't need. All becuase some ****ole can't be arsed to put a custom option in or just loves hiding options.

Having just completed a 300 machine xp rollout there have been a few software items that were horrible to setup. Most of these insist the user must have administrative rights to the local workstation for them to operate.

My favorites are,
Read & write 6 - tries to reinstall itself when a new user logs on
LunarPlus - You have to manually create a local settings folder for each user otherwise it bombs out
Cubasis - Just won't operate for some users
Sophos AV Coroprate edition, try getting this to run as a service.
My all time favorite is CA Arcserve v7 which is completely useless but I have to use it to backup my network.

Oh forgot to mention that great worm called AOL. Installs software takes over your sysetm and fubars your tcp/ip if try and take it off.
