OpenVMS... best at being a new version of VMS!
AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!
- Gurm
P.S. After being forced to use VMS my freshman year in college, I say this - NEVER AGAIN. I mean, maybe they've rewritten it for RISC/CISC chips, but still - the damn thing had a CPU that knew C. That's just absurd. And the all-caps commands, and ... ARGH it was horrible. HORRIBLE I TELL YOU!The Internet - where men are men, women are men, and teenage girls are FBI agents!

I'm the least you could do, oh yeah

I would still get screwed

Dude, when did YOU start using VMS? My experiences with VMS are tainted, I tell you. It could give me a killer BJ at this point, I'm just SOOOO not interested.

Ahh see that's the problem. By 1992 I had given up all hope for VMS. Never again, says I. Y'know, if someone calls themselves "OpenNazi", and does all kinds of charity work, I still won't have them over for dinner.

Brief experiance with VMS back in 1991-1992. Hope to never have to use it again. The all caps were horrible as well. SARCASM Thanks Gurm for bringing back those pleasant memories /SARCASM[size=1]D3/\/7YCR4CK3R

Did my stint with VMS on a VAX 11/780 1984-1988.
In fact I earned the nick name 'crash' - they blamed all the system crashes on me - I was the new guy. (actually only one was my fault )
Infact I still have all the original operating/programming.Yeah, well I'm gonna build my own lunar space lander! With blackjack aaaaannd Hookers! Actually, forget the space lander, and the blackjack. Ahhhh forget the whole thing!

Yep. Right from the getgo VMS was inherently worse than UNIX, and that's saying a lot considering my EXTREMELY HIGH opinion of Unix.

I wouldn't know. Later versions don't run on the ancient-ass machines that the 1992 version ran on.
