I've heard of Sapphire and one other(can't remember who though). I'm sure over the next two weeks, everyone will announce their boards.

Sure hope they hurry up ... I just ordered my case for the new HTPC. I'd really like to see an XT PE right away but I guess those won't show up until month-end (after 21st). My shop has it "back ordered" for $488. I might have to borrow a graphics card for a couple weeks.

Just pre-ordered the X800 XT PE from CompUSA. It was $449.00+tax, but you need to enter the code CONVERTIBLE in the coupon field to save the extra $50. Shipping is free, but you still have to pay tax. Don't know how long this code will be good, though..

So where is it? I'm borrowing a graphics card for my new HTPC and I'm ready to pick up a PE. This happened when I built my last machine just before the Max was released. I had to borrow a card for a couple months before I got my Max. I hope it will only be a week or two for a PE.

Are there reports on the heat difference between the Pro and PE? Which of the X800 vendors has the best quality board which isn't too hot or noisy? I'm hoping the ATI PE will be up to the task.

XT PE isn't shipping yet. Only the Pro. I think it is expected mid-june in people's hands.

                        Just ordered my XT PE.

Does anyone know the power differance between 9800 Pro and XT PE? I know it uses less than the 9800 XT.

Looking at the reviews, looks like both the X800XT and Pro, both stomp the NV card.

But as has been stated before, the nVidia cards have an entirely new core, so their drivers aren't optimized at all yet. Whereas the ATI's are still just an upgrade from the older core, so the drivers are much more mature. Still doesn't mean crap if ATI's drivers suck more than nVidia's under linux, which I want to fully move to as soon as I can.... With the current situation of the Parhelia in linux... I'm wanting a different card...

Besides, from everything I've seen so far, your definition of 'stomp' is probably 5fps

P.S. Anyone have any idea how long it'll be until the X800 has support under the linux drivers?
