I'm at work and would quite like to install by bluetooth USB dongle. Only problem is, I haven't got Admin rights on this machine. I've got what my company calls "developer rights" so my machine is an awful lot less locked down than others (eg I can install most software without problems). But the driver disk that came with my dongle refuses to install claiming I need Administrator Rights. Same for all possible files - those called "setup.exe" "inst.exe" or "BTW.msi" all ask for Admin rights.
I can plug the dongle in and let Windows find the driver on the CD, and it installs a driver that appears in Device Manager as "CSR USB Bluetooth Device", Manufacturer WIDCOMM and version 1.4.2.8.
But then I don't have an icon in the taskbar, and can't seem to be able to find any way at all to make it connect to my phone (search for bluetooth devices etc).
Any ideas?
Am using Win2k SP4, and have float's Mobile Agent installed and ready to go if only I could get my computer to talk to the phone!
TIA
Gnep
