I like my Ipod Shuffle...it great to drag up to the pool/beach or go exercising with. Then again I did get it for like $80 bucks also.
Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?

I thought it could play songs in sequence/album mode as well?
      And you forgot Pause.

For $80 you can get a non-Apple player that has about 20 times the features, AND triple the battery life.

Yep, actually it does appear to. But you can't SEE what the order is.

I'm asking myself the question if I really need it...
After all...load songs appropriate for mood, and voila, why should I fvck with some searching on miniature display if I want to just listen to music that I like and it's Ok for the moment/day?...

In my mind, it's less a question of "do I need that feature", and more a question of "why would I pay MORE money for a unit that does LESS and has a tiny battery life?"

And... Apple wins. Game, set, and match.

I've been trying to convince my son that he should get a 20GB H10 over the equivalant Ipod. He can't seem to see past the looks.

The H10 is much more feature rich for less money, but that isn't good enough for him. Oh well, what can I do, it's his choice.
Ladies and gentlemen, take my advice, pull down your pants and slide on the ice.

It's a thing of image. iPod is somewhat luxury item (especially here...). And...although I didn't even hold one, ever, (it's really hard to find someone with an iPod here...) it definatelly looks (I've seen it behind the window at least ) toughter (in the sense: not so easy to destroy) and better made. I wonder if it is...

He's 15. I'm not going to force him to buy one over the other. If that's how he wishes to spend his money, so be it. I've already gone over the pros and cons with him and he still wants the Ipod.

Oh, ok. If it's HIS money, let him waste it to a point. *shrug*

I've never used MP3s before but I've recently enjoyed them on my new PSP. 'Twas sweet on my road trip the other week to switch from the gaming after awhile and just enjoy the tunes. I bought a 1 GB flash for the PSP so I can dub movies to go. Nice multi-use portable console. I'm gaming on it a hell of lot more than I dreamed I would.

Well, you know, HIS money amazingly seems to come from his grandparents, xmas, bdays, his parents, blah blah blah.
