So far so good; up to 616MHz . Will keep ratchetting things up; we'll see if I can pull 733MHz (133.3 FSB)out of this bad boy. That should bring my SETI WU times down .

Seen it mentioned a few times, even seen poeple ask for more info in this thread, but have never seen a reply oe a link. Would be great to put up WUs much faster, especially with the new faster CPU.

You're right Stefan !

I just wanted to compare it ... what I found out is that it runs only with the GUI version and after recieving that patch I tried to use it under NT, but Doc Watson told me it's a no go.

Anyway, I'm back at cmd-line versions and feel quite comfortable with those ...

No BIG drop in WU time but still a little quicker. Oh and so far so good at 733MHz!!! Only problem so far was when I tried to run the memory at CAS2, PD craped out on me. Restarted windows and did a reg fix (well it did it by itself) and returned to CAS3. It's PC133 memory (Crucial/Micron) and the SPD reports the CAS as 2. Maybe it's not the memory that caused the problem, just PD acting weird with the AGP at 89? Any ideas? Might retry CAS2 in the future, but it's all stable right now, with stock INTEL retail HSF, and stock voltage (can't change it on my MB), so I guess I shouldn't complain, and actually I must say I'm rather happy.

Now if I can through that other system together (to replace the one at work )some time next week, and get another 2.5-3 WUs per day...

Remember SETI servers will be going down for '1 or 2 hours', in a few hours (noon PST). Remember what happen the last time they were supposed to go down for '3 hours'? We'll go get some extra WUs before their shut-down; just in case.
