Question:
Is it at all possible to get the Cel II 600 to work with a BE6-II?
My friend purchased the motherboard 3 months ago, but at that time decided to wait until better CPU's were available before upgrading his Pentium II 300. Now, he has just picked up a Cel II 600, but after installation into his BE6-II, the computer won't start properly.
I've checked serveral review sites showing people running the Cel II 566 chip on a wide variety of BX motherboards and my friend was hoping the 600MHz chip would work on his computer. Should we pursue the matter further and try to get the CPU working? Or, is it a hopeless attempt and we should try to get the 566.
Any help would be much appreciated. ThanX.
