If this won't work either, try upping the voltage on the slocket instead of bios if it's possible.

tried 124/31 @1.85 but still no good. Pushing voltage up more is troublesome, in my mind anyway. CPU is a slot 1 by the way.

Well it's all in now... Just playin' with the settings....

Currently running @ 1020 Mhz

Also spent a little extra and got me another pair o'20GB drives to match, now have a 40GB RAID 0+1 (80GB total, but half for mirror).

Working great, will try and post some benches a little later - after this weekends lan party that is....

Let's see...

Vid in 2nd system - an old Oxygen VX1 (given to me) - as all my old Matrox products were sold while they retained good resale value. Should have hung onto the old G200 Mystique... Ah, well... wasn't planning on having 3 PCs sitting next to my desk...

RAID subsystem - loving it.. HDTACH - before it crashed - doesn't care much for this RAID when trying to run it the second time, gives me burst transfers @ 90MB/sec, sustained 30MB/s...

133/PIII-850 - nope, it wasn't... TO be honest, I just ordered the lowest priced 850 that was out there. May be upgrading again, real soon - 933 or such...

I'm about to build a new system for the wife and upgrade mine at the same time. I've been torn between another slot1 or an FCPGA type processor for my upgrade. And I do like the features of the BX133 board.

Heh-heh - a little bit of insomnia due to the odd hours kept during the Lan party (we call it a Game-Fest in these neck of the woods).

I've been able to post @133 - but not boot... Yikes - that PIII-850 posted @ 1130... - however, insufficient cooling, and a desire to not burn out the proc by OV'ing it, I left it at 1020 (120FSB).

If I were to get a 933 or 866, there wouldn't be any trouble at all for 133FSB, and it might even leave room for 140 or so on the FSB... Hmmm... let's see 933/133 = 7. 7*140 = 980... Still not as fast, but with the faster memory speed, and AGP bus, it should prove faster than my current "NEW" setup @ 120...

May be worth a try...

Guyver, why didn't you go for the PIII-800 instead and shoot for 1066@133 FSB ??
that would be better .. even ur pci would've a 1/4 (33 MHz )
plus faster memory and FSB speed.
besides the 800 is cheaper than the 850

In your setup @ 120mhz, what does the PCI run at? (i'm just curious) Most boards have a 124/31.25 FSB/PCI setting; you should be able to attain that easily.
