I'm reasonably happy with my Vortex II in Win2k...as long as I forget about 3d sound. What does it for me is that the drivers have speaker compensation for my model of speakers, which gives a really well-defined sound, much better than I could achieve messing with the graphic equaliser. Also, the stereo-widening effect works extremely well when used on certain type of CD/MP3 music.
Unfortunately, I'd be stuffed if I ever switched to a Duron/Thunderbird motherboard (apparently).
