Sorry to bring this back up to the top but I can't be bothered to start again.
At the moment winfax pro is removed and staying that for the forseeable future.
AFter messing with this software and supervoice comms server package the modem gave up recieveing faxes altogether.
I've reset the modem back to its defaults via hyperterminal with the at&f1 command. I've also gone back to the orginal supplied supervoice software. Now the software always answers Faxes with the voice mail message the fax transmission is succesful however the sending modem doesn't seem to know this and keeps the line connected so you have to cancel at the sending end.
The modem orginally never did this and used to work fine.
I've tried getting the modem to echo the settings back to me via AT&I4 but this just returns okay. I4 is supposed to display the current modem settings. I've got a feeling that the modem is stuck in distive ring mode!
Is it worth reflashing the modem? I've also emailed 3com on this no doubt they're having a right laugth at me. Theres no info in the manuel about this by the way.
