Just like other video card companies offer beta drivers to all their users, Matrox should do the same and not only to the elite few. What is their logic in testing their logic in testing beta drivers on 10 different user configurations? Beta-Boyz, answer me that?

Wouldn't they get more accomplished in terms of bug reports if it were a general beta release just like the opengl-icd beta1&2, both of which suck a-s-s! Every g200 user has a unique system, and just because the drivers work for 10 fools doesn't mean they'll work on my system. Soon, real soon, real real soon, ya right. Don't post that crap anymore. I'd rather wait in the dark and be surprised than know you boyz have got something that other users should of had a long time ago. We just don't suck up. The funny thing is, all you beta testers were raggin' on Matrox not long ago, now you're it's puppy brown-nose, Matrox can do no wrong. I know all the names. Ya, I mean you!

Matrox is just alienating more and more users this way. What, am I not good enough to detect a crash on my system and report it back to them? Do I need some especial degree in Matroxology to be part of these drivers? Do I need to be a friggin' brown nose in this forum? Tell me what it takes?

I'm sick and tired of waiting for these drivers. If Matrox thinks by holding of the G200 drivers, I'll cave in and by a G400 they've got another thing coming. No way am I going to buy another Matrox product again. I'll just wait for the next generation 3dfx or tnt, thank you.

That price tag is way to unreasonable in my opinion.

I think you would find if you looked back to before this beta program, I was relatively quiet - not shouting abuse at Matrox nor praising them every second. I still don't. I don't praise Matrox all the time now - I will give praise where praise is due, but I will also criticise. We criticise a lot inside the beta group to Matrox, and they listen if we have a valid point.

And I don't take kindly to being called a 'fool'. But I will not go down to your level and bother to argue against your jealousy.

All you people ragging on the beta boys are a bunch of ****oles.

Do you think that any of them will bother giving us any kind of this so called "insider info" that all of us have been whining about?

I doubt it. How can anyone bash people who are just messengers?

I see so much jealousy on this site ever since they "came out" it makes for a good psychological paper.

"How come they got chosen?, Why not me?
Why can't we all be beta testers?", yadi yadi ya

Pathetic bunch of spoiled brats! Go into your corner and think about how stupid you have been.

Yeah yeah, the 4.51 drivers aren't stable. Big shit. Use the older ones and to hell with the ICD. Looks like the general consensis is that they suck so what is the problem?

            Ciao

              THANK YOU GINOCYBER!!!

I'm generally a quiet person, but this jealousy is really beginning to p*ss me off now. I'm beginning to wish that we kept to ourselves. For the last few months it's been OK - contructive criticism and comments have all been taken aboard. But what has happened the last week or so?

I think you can safely say that the beta program will go on much quieter now.

Right that's it cut out the personal crap. If you don't like what the beta boyz have to say don't read it. Beta boyz if you don't like what your critics have to say ignore them.

No amount of whinging and attacking the beta testers is going to change Matrox's policies you should know this by now. The beta testers were picked from these forums after showing that had a good all round technical knoweldge, were willing to help others out to solve problems etc. None of them knew about the beta test program before they were invited on to it so they did not purposefully come here sucking up to get onto it. The beta test program is an excellent idea. Having the beta testers in here providing feedback is excellent. Matrox's delay in releasing drivers is a very poor show but it is not the beta testers fault. They are not told release dates any more than you or I are.

Now cut this shit out and soddin grow up. This sort of abuse over the beta test program will either get Matrox to tighten up the beta NDAs so they can't breath a word or worse give those internal enemies of the beta test program the leverage they need to shut the program down. And believe me there are those within Matrox just itching to do that.

                  Glenbrook1998,

What the F*CK kind of crap is that? Take a chill pill, will ya! You have got to be doing some shitty drugs to even think that the beta boyz have been brownnosing Matrox.

I guess that the beta boyz were asked to participate in the beta program because they have showed by helping dozens of users here, that they are serious hardcore users with a good allround understanding of video tech issues. They have given their honest oppinion on lots of different G200/G400 topics, and I have read just as many critical posts as a have read praises. So they haven't been brownnosing big M in my book. I know we are many who feel like this.

I can only conclude that you must be a newbie to this forum who bought a second hand G200 and is pissed off that it did not live up to the expectations. I haven't seen your name on that many posts. And if your petty ego can't stand that these guys have been given or borrowed a few G400's for testing, you'd better crawl back under whatever slimy rock you call home.

                  Don't bash the messenger!

And if this post has upset you in any way, feel free to post whatever crap you like t try and insult me. I'm wearing my asbesthos suit baby.

                  chill,

                  Jake

To be sure that this is getting back to matrox is a MAJOR point here. How matrox handles the beta releases, along with their OGL driver support (or lack of...), to their tech support and marking is of major concern here. Were was the open beta sign up, so that those in critical need and best talent can request these newer drivers? How do we know that those that should have the beta drivers for testing really do? Yes, the qualifications of the beta testers are really in question here... Lack of a talent pool (due to no open beta), means that we may still be getting substandard drivers even after these new ones are released. Matrox is the culprit of this fiasco, not the beta testers. Matrox should be the focal point to the release of information on the beta program, not the beta testers. Matrox should give us updates on the status of the drivers, not the beta testers. Matrox should be keeping their customers satisfied that they are correcting the problems of the past, not the beta testers... I for one would like matrox to handle this correctly, therefore I would have no need to get "firsthand" information from beta testers and then question their integrity.

Since I know matrox employees read this forum regularly, I hope that implementation of some or all of these suggestions are taken seriously. Then once we have a source of legitimate information on your products, hold these beta testers to their NDA’s and keep them quiet!
