The most important thing on cooling your cpu is to use heatsink paste.
My celery 333 runs at 500mz using an $8 no-name dual fan cooler.
Getting rid of the heat transfer pad and going to paste is what made the difference.

OK, I couldn't stand it any longer and called Matrox. First off, the nubmers mean nothing, secondly, I'm still in the 5-6 week time frame but probably before the end of July. So, they said to call back next week and they will probably have a better answer for me. I'm not in the first batch

Once again, I ordered my card on June 27th.

I am sad to report I have preordered a Hercules TNT2 Ultra card. Forgive me, oh Matrox followers. I just decided that since my monitor(1) only supports 1280x1024 at 60HZ (ouch!) and that 2d wasn't priority for me, and the whole delay after delay thing..., and framerates at 1024x768 are important to me. I just have my own personal reasons. The Hercules card will be good for me for the next 8 or 10 months. On a positive note: we can compare and contrast these cards from an end user perspective. I can provide reliable benchmarks and accounts of the card since I'm not paid by Hercules or whatever. The card should be here in 3 to 4 weeks. I hope this doesn't create animosity toward neo.
