I accidentally chipped off a little piece off the end of one of the (resisters?), about 1mm, under the lid of my K6-2 450. It still works, but it messes up my video card (Matrox Marvel G-200 AGP), and I get on error on Java enabled web pages. 2d works fine on my video card but 3d don’t, also clockspeeds are different. Could it be the CPU thats adding noise, and/or 2x incompatibilities, not the Mobo's. Here is what I experienced using final reality, as I couldn't start any games, etc.
1) AGP 2x instead of 1x
2) Wierd clockspeed and G-200CLK and Powerstrip cause the speed to go up every time its used even though the settings are the same.
3) When the logo first comes up (AGP/MMX detected) it has colors where it blends in to the desktop.
4) AGP test, no fingers (just flashes) and background (blocks) is distorted.
5) Radial Blur - No Go
6) Chaos zoomer - OK but frames dropped 10
7) Bus transfer - 2D 162 -> 146, 3D 63 -> 35
8) 25 Pixel - Artifacts 137 -> 113
9) Fill Rate - OK
10) Robots - Error 'KF: Face in object "ground" didn't receive full mapping in [materials] in [character] in [KF.TXT]!'
11) City - No Go
Much Thanks in advance!!!!!
