Hi,
did already flash the 1010 version on my P2B. Runs fine. Btw. Asus is an excellent company. If you need a mainboard go and get an ASUS.
Jorden - sorry I don`t know if a coppermine would run. But I think so.
Greetings

Looks like it'll support coppermine, at least initially. My P2B-S can only get to a 6x multiplier, so as soon as they get above 600MHz, I'm out of luck. I think the later revisions of the P2B can get a little higher, but I'm not sure.

6. Added microcode update support for Coppermine cA-0. (CPU ID=680)
7. Upgraded microcode update data for 650, 651, 652, 653, 655, 672, and 673 processors.

What kind of noticable differences are in this 1010 bios. I just flashed 1009 and now theres a new one. Do you get any better performance or better compatability or what? Just wondering if I should fix somethin that isn't broke. Thanks BTW is this beta or an official release of this bios?

Hello Apallag!
You have no such luck! That you're out of luck!
I too am the happy owner of this great board called the ASUS P2B-S. You see apallag, Intel has this great thing called a multiplier-lock, so if you were to put a PIII 800 MHz (8x100) into your board, the multiplier will automaticly go to x8, although the jumpers aren't suppossed to!
Enjoy your board and future CPU's.
