Ive seen a couple of video card round ups and such including a bunch of cards (Savage2000, GeForceDDR, TNT2, TNT2U, G400 MAX, G400, v3 3500) on different speed processors ( pIII 450, pIII 600, Athlon 500, Athlon 700) and i noticed something odd. On the slower processors the G400 MAX was slower than the TNT2 and TNT2U, but as the processors speed increased the performance on the G400 MAX and G400 increased much faster than other. So the MAX started out the 4th fastest and ended up being the second fastest! So what does this mean. Right now CPU's are a bottle neck for the MAX? Cuase if so thats absoultly awesome. This also means that any system running a v3 or a TNT2 is VIDEO CARD limited. I like my MAX!! : ) : ) : )
BTW all tests were in high resolution (1280 and greater) with high detail in Q3.
