osmanb,
I'm sure the problem is with the motherboard. Specifically, the AGP slot has an intermittant, or bad, connection. The clear sign of this fact is the "green Screen". Doesn't matter that it doesn't happen just on cold boot.
Stuff like this happens. In the case of Athlon motherboards it occurs with far too much frequency. I have an Asus K7M with a bad CPU slot. The majority of the time the system refuses to boot at all!! Originally, I didn't have any friends with Athlons to try any swapping. When I was finally able to try swapping processors, the K7M was obviously the problem. Once that was replaced with an Epox 7KXA. All my issues disappeared. Now if I can just get the vendor to replace the defective board I'll be happy again. Emailing Asus Tech support resulted in no replies.
Good Luck with that Vendor!!! I have a feeling that you're gonna need it.
