On G200, when uninstalling current 5.03 and trying this drivers, W2k starts at blank screen Pretty silly ...
No IRQ sharing probs (irq 11 single for G200), neither video bios shadowing or such stuff.

I was talking about the 5.XX drivers. Maybe whatever Microsoft was objecting has been cleared up, because I the built-in uninstaller is clearly back. I believe someone from Matrox told us they removed the uninstaller because of certification issues. This was a year ago, and I can barely remember what went on yesterday.

It's not uncommon for videocard manufacturers to leave stuff Microsoft doesn't like (overclocking and Vsync controls) out of drivers and then provide you with the means to do it elsewhere. NVIDIA disables and hides these functions, although they can be activated with the "Coolbits" registry hack. Matrox provides separate utilities.

          Randy...

The Win2k-specific resolution manager stopped working once Powerdesk 5.1x/6.1x came out. I created a new version that works for Win2k (with 5.1x/6.1x drivers) and Win9x as well. Unfortunately I think my posts about it went unnoticed and I never e-mailed Ant to tell him to put it on the website.

          Get it here:

          Enjoy!

That G450 PCI is interesting, does anyone have any info on that? I may need a PCI card for a 21" monitor and the current TNT2 2D is rather weak.

Finally had a chance to run some benchmarks on Q3A w/ and w/o TGL 1.30 on Win98 and PD 6.14. TGL still significantly increases FPS in lower resolutions on my P3-450 (e.g. 44% faster in 640x480): just slightly faster (~1 FPS) in 1280x1024. I also noticed some black horizontal lines on some players (action was fierce) w/ the full ICD and I get no cinematics w/ TGL. Looks like I'll stick w/ using TGL on Q3A with my current setup.
